Perpetual Trading Overview

Desktop Layout

  1. Market Selection: Switch markets.

  2. Market Info Bar: Information about the selected market.

  3. Chart Styles: Choose your favourite chart style

  4. Price Chart, Market Depth, Funding: Use the toggle to change views.

  5. Orderbook & Trades: View the open order and executed trades for the market.

  6. Tables: Your positions, balances, orders, and history.

Trading Console

The trading console is where you place trade orders.

  1. Leverage Slider: Adjust leverage from 1x to 50x.

  2. Order Type: Decide the order type for your trade: Market/Limit/Stop Limit/Stop Market/Post Only

  3. Input Token Selector: Use various tokens as collateral to open positions.

  4. Order Details: The amount of the asset you want to buy / sell

  5. Slider & Shortcuts: Select a % of your max order size.

  6. Reduce Only Checkbox: Tick this if you want to strickly reduce your open position

  7. TP & SL Checkbox: Tick this if you want to set a corresponding TP / SL.

  8. Advanced Drop-Down: Advance order settings depending on your order type.

  9. Time in force Drop-Down: Choose your Time In Force option (IOC, FOK)

  10. Execution Button: Click this to place the order: Buy / Long or Sell / Short

  11. Switch: Switch flexible between acount

  12. One Click Trading: Enable one click trading

  13. Summary: Trade details and account impact.

Placing a Perp Trade

  1. Connect your wallet

  2. Navigate to the Perpetual Trading page

  3. Choose the Market you want to open a Leveraged position on

  1. Set your Leverage

  1. Choose the Order type you want to use: Market/Limit/Stop Limit/Stop Market/Post Only:

  • Market: Market order is immediately matched to the best available market price

  • Limit: The trade will fill at the specific price or better. Limit orders are not guaranteed to execute.

  • Stop Limit: Orders become limit orders when a specified stop price is reached. Specify a trigger price to activate the order.

  • Stop Market: Orders become market orders when a specified price is reached. Specify a trigger price to activate the order

  • Post Only: Post Only orders will be added to the order book and not execute with a pre-existing order.

  1. Choose the token you want to pay in.

  1. Enter the order details:

    • Amount of assets to buy.

    • Estimated total quote value.

    • Percentage of your max order.

    • Optional: Check the Reduce Only box if you want to

    • Optional: Check the TP / SL box if you want to add a Take Profit or Stop Loss order (info below).

    • Optional: use the advanced drop-down for more order settings

  2. Choose Time in force type:

    • IOC (Immediate Or Cancel): Order will execute all or partial immediately and cancel any unfilled portion of the order.

    • FOK (Fill Or Kill): Order must be filled immediately in its entirety or not executed at all.

  3. Review the summary below the submit button.

  1. Click the Buy / Long or Sell / Short submit button to place trade.

If successful, you should receive an order placed notification.

Managing Positions

You can view Perp Positions via:

  • The “Positions” table underneath the chart on the trading pages.

  • The “Positions” table on the portfolio Accounts Page.

Setting TP / SL

There are 2 ways to add a TP / SL to a position:

Add TP/SL to a new order

  1. Check the TP / SL box of the order detail

  2. Enter your take profit and / or stop loss order details.

  3. Decide if you want to use Market Price or Last Price.

  • Market Price: The order will trigger if Market price hits the trigger price.

  • Last Price: The order will trigger if last traded price hits the trigger price.

Add TP/SL to an existing Position

  1. Go to the the “Positions” table underneath the chart on the trading pages. Under the TP / SL column click on the [Add] button.

  1. A pop-up will open.

  1. Click on [Take Profit] and / or [Stop Loss]

  2. Enter your take profit and / or stop loss order details.

  • The stop price.

  • The estimated gain or loss %.

  1. Decide if you want to use Market Price or Last Price.

  • Market Price: The order will trigger if Market price hits the trigger price.

  • Last Price: The order will trigger if last traded price hits the trigger price.

  1. Click on [Confirm]

If successful, you should receive an order placed notification.

How to Cancel TP / SL

  1. Go to the the “Positions” table underneath the chart on the trading pages

  2. Under the TP / SL column click the [Detail] button on your TP / SL.

  3. Click the [Cancel] button.

Cancel All: If you wish to quickly cancel all your TP/SL you can do so by clicking the [Cancel All] button in the bottom-right of the positions table, which will fully cancel all of your positions.

Closing / Partial Close a Position

  1. Go to the the “Positions” table underneath the chart on the trading pages

  2. Click on the [Close] button to the right.

  1. A pop-up will open. You can elect the amount you wish to close.

  2. Click [Confirm].

Alternatively, you can use the trading console to sell or buy the perp. For example, if you are long 100 BTC-PERP, you can close 50% of your position by selling/shorting 50 BTC-PERP.

Close All: If you wish to quickly close all your positions you can do so by clicking the [Close All] button in the top-right of the positions table, which will fully close all of your positions.

You do not need to sign to place orders if you have enabled
